Fluorescent lamp for copy and its manufacture
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To enable to reduce an area to be occupied by a lamp inside a copying machine by sealing branch tubes provided with electrodes near both ends of a straight tube glass bulb almost dithogonally to the axis of the straight tube glass bulb respectively. CONSTITUTION:Branch tubes 4 and 5 are sealed near both ends 2 and 3 of a straight tube glass bulb 1 almost orthogonally to the axis of the straight tube glass bulb 1. The inside surface of the straight glass bulb 1 and the inside surfaces of the branch tubes 4 and 5 are coated with the reflective films mainly composed of, for instance, alundum and titanium oxide and thereon with the phosphor films while leaving the opening part 6 on the inside surface of the straight tube glass bulb 1 for forming the coating 7. The mounts 11 provided with the electrodes 10 coated with an electron discharging material while being deprived of the coating 7 sealed the end parts 8 and 9 of the branch tubes on the sides not connected with the straight tube bulb 1. Thereby, the well-balanced distribution of light having the uniform distribution of brightness can be obtained all over the length of the lamp.
