Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the titled device in size and weight and to attain stable tape travelling by using simultaneously a reel driving source as a capstan driving source. CONSTITUTION:A tape cassette 8 is inserted into a cassette holder 16 located at a rise position in the arrow 17 direction. Then the cassette holder 16 incorporating the tape cassette 8 is depressed in the arrow 18 direction. Consequently, the side plate part 10'' of a front cover 10 of the cassette 8 is butted on a cover opening means consisting of a pin, metal plate, etc. and formed on the prescribed position of the device body 15. Then, the cassette holder 16 or a part 15' of the device body 15 is pressed in the arrow 19 direction, so that the device body 15 can be made extremely compact.
