Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To increase the printing speed by a multiple equivalent to the number of tracks and to obtain a reproduced tape in a short time, by preparing master disks in the number equivalent to the number of tracks to record signals to each master disk in a 1/N-bit rate and then recording these signals to N pieces of tracks. CONSTITUTION:N sheets of master disks 301-30N are attached to a common shaft 40 and positiobed. Then the frame synchronizing signal is extracted as the speed data out of the reproduction signal by a speed data separating circuit 43 and supplied to a reproduction disk servo circuit 44. A motor 41 is controlled by the output of the circuit 44, and the disks 301-30N are revolved at a fixed linear speed. The reproduction signals obtained from disks 301-30N by optical reproduction heads 311-31N are supplied to reproduction processors 331-33N and demodulated. The outputs of demodulation undergo the timing control via error correction decoders 341-34N and are supplied to head chips 361-36N respectively. Thus the N-track parallel recording is carried out on a tape 37.
