Magnetic head

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve both the magnetic characteristics and the wear resistance of a magnetic head by producing a magnetic circuit with a composite material obtained by dispersing evenly and 3-dimensionally at least one kind of the 2nd phase particles into a super-quenching alloy matrix made of the amorphous phase, the crystalline phase or the mixture phase of both phases. CONSTITUTION:An alloy basic material 1 of a super-quenching alloy matrix is heated and fused by a vacuum high frequency melting furnace 2 and then poured into a cast 3 of ingot. While the 2nd phase particles 4 are forcibly sprayed to the material 1 which is on the way to be poured into the cast 3 by a plasma melt-spraying powder feeder 5 and cooled and solidified to be turned into an ingot containing the particles 4 dispersed evenly. With a magnetic head using such a core material, the imperance, wear resistance and magnetization performance respectively with big reduction of a bias current.
