Slip controlling apparatus in torque converter

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent generation of speed-change shock by keeping a slip control means into a prescribed constant state for a prescribed time after the speed- change instruction for a gear speed change mechanism is transmitted. CONSTITUTION:A calculation stop means (g) is connected to a slip control means (e), and after speed change instruction for a gear speed change mechanism is transmitted, the slip control means (e) is kept in the state immediately before speed change instruction or a prescribed constant state during the prescribed time corresponding to the time lag. Therefore, a torque converter develops the torque variation absorbing performance for a prescribed time. Therefore, the generation of speed change shock due to the wrong understanding for the actual slip amount is prevented during the time lag.
