Slip controlling apparatus for torque converter
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent a torque converter vibration, deterioration of fuel cost-effectiveness, and noise generation, by changing parameters for the PID operation according to changes in the revolving speeds of the prime mover during a normal operation. CONSTITUTION:The prime mover (a) is connected with operating condition monitor means (g) for judging whether the prime mover (a) is in a normal operation or not, and PID operational means (e) is connected with parameter changing means (h), which inputs a signal from the operating condition monitor means (g) to the PID operating means (e) and changes parameters for the PID operation according to changes in revolving speeds of the prime mover (a) during the normal operation. The gain in the slip controlling can thereby be maintained at a desired value even if the controlling gain of the torque converter when actually mounted is not tuned, or a lockup clutch or the like has developed therein a change by aging. Hence, a torque converter vibration, deterioration of fuel cost- effectiveness, and noise generation can be prevented.
