Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain an image having a high quality by changing a carrying path length between a feeding means and an inserting and holding means, to the direction for absorbing a loop generated between both means, after the tip of a transfer material has been inserted and held, and eliminating an uneven transfer and a color shift caused by the loop. CONSTITUTION:A transfer material supplied by a resist roller 6, and inserted and held by a gripper 5 through a guide plate 7 is carried to a transfer position 4 of a transfer drum 2. A short diameter surface of an eccentric roller 14 is always on the path side of the transfer material, but after the transfer material has been inserted and held, before the gripper 5 reaches a connecting position to an elastic body 12 of a paper holder 10, the roller 14 makes a half rotation, and a path length of the transfer material is lengthened, therefore, a loop which is apt to be generated in the transfer material is absorbed. Accordingly, the loop of the transfer material, which is generated after the transfer has been inserted and held by the gripper is absorbed, a good transfer is executed, and a transfer image having a high quality is obtained.
