Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To contrive to enhance printing speed, by printing a character after printing a specified mark, when printing a character accompanied by a specified mark. CONSTITUTION:In step 32, it is discriminated whether or not the information inputted through an input device 31 is character information. In the case of character information, step 33 is executed to discriminate whether or not the current condition is a specified mark, and when the current condition is not the condition where a specified mark is printed, step 34 is executed to discriminate whether or not the information contains a specified mark starting signal ST, and when the information does not contain the signal ST, step 36 is executed to print a character, spacing is performed in step 37, and step 32 is resumed. When the signal ST is inputted through the input device 31, it is discriminated in step 32 that character information is not inputted, resulting in a stand-by condition. When character information is inputted through the device 31, it is discriminated in step 32 that character information is inputted, step 33 is entered with the signal ST, and since the condition is not the condition where the specified mark is printed, step 34 is executed to detect the signal ST, the specified mark is printed in step 35, then the character is printed in step 36, and step 32 is resumed after executing step 37.
