Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the size of an inductance element for improving an input power factor by composing a chopper type smoothing circuit of an inductance element, a switch element of an inverter and a smoothing capacitor. CONSTITUTION:The output of a rectifier 3 is applied through an inductance element 42 to a switch element 50 of an inverter 5. A voltage across a smoothing condenser 41 charged when the element 50 is opened by electromagnetic energy stored in the element 42 when the element 50 is closed is inputted to the inverter 5. A chopper type smoothing circuit is composed of the inductance element 42, the element 50 and the condenser 41.
