Device for introducing secondary air into exhaust pipe

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To feed secondary air sufficiently and smoothly by forming a cushion chamber having a sectional area greater than that of the opening of an exhaust pipe for a secondary air intake introduction pipe, in the vicinity of said opening. CONSTITUTION:An opening 12 for an air introduction pipe 10 for an exhaust pipe 6, is formed along the inner surface of the exhaust pipe 6, and a cushion chamber 13 is formed on the air introduction pipe 10, and adjacent to this opening 12. The sectional area of this cushion chamber 13 is formed greater than that of said opening 12, to store sufficient air. It is desirable that the opening 12 is formed at a distance of 50cm or less from an exhaust port 5.
