Piezoelectric element drive control valve
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To widen the operating temperature range of a Piezoelectric element drive control valve by making same the sum of thermal displacement in each arranging direction of displacement transmission system, Piezoelectric element and thermal displacement regulating member with that of housing thereby compensating for the influence of thermal displacement of Piezoelectric element. CONSTITUTION:Assuming the length from the bottom face of liquid chamber of valve housing 2 to the end face of cover member 12 is l1, the length of Piezoelectric element 22 is l2, the length of piston 16 is l3 and the length of back plate 24 is l4. While assuming the thermal expansion factors of said members are lambda1-lambda4, the length and thermal expansion factor are determined to satisfy the formula. Consequently, the influence of temperature variation can be neglected completely to maintain the volume of liquid chamber constant thus to assure normal operation.
