Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent an erroneous detection of abnormality, by presuming that, if any one of wheel speeds is lower than a reference wheel speed which is the wheel speed of a driven wheel by a predetermined value, a wheel speed sensor provided for the corresponding wheel is regarded as being abnormal. CONSTITUTION:When a wheel speed sensor 1a on a driven wheel FR side is abnormal, the output of this sensor becomes zero, and accordingly, an output signal from a wheel speed detecting circuit 2a also becomes zero. Accordingly, the difference between an output signal from a wheel speed detecting circuit 2b on the driven wheel FL side and the output signal from the wheel speed detecting circuit 2a becomes larger than delta, and therefore, a comparator circuit 3a issues an output signal to turn on a warning lamp 8. Further, in the case of that a wheel speed sensor 1c for a drive wheel RR side becomes abnormal, the difference between output signals from the wheel speed detecting circuits 2b, 2c also becomes larger than delta, and therefore, the comparator circuit 3a issues an output signal to turn on the warning lamp 8. Further, when an abnormality takes place in a wheel speed sensor 1b corresponding to a driven wheel FL side, a sensor failure detecting circuit 9 issues an output signal to turn on the warning lamp 8.
