Actuator using piezoelectric element
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To increase the displaced amount of an actuator and to improve the frequency response by displacing a piezoelectric element group which elongates by the polarity of the applied voltage and a piezoelectric element group which shrinks. CONSTITUTION:A bearing 4 is secured to a support 2, and a piezoelectric element group 8 which is formed by laminating a piezoelectric element 6 is engaged with the end of the bearing 4. Then, a U-shaped bearing 10 is engaged with the end of the group 8, and a piezoelectric element group 14 formed by laminating a piezoelectric element 12 is engaged with the end of the bearing 10, and a rod 16 is secured to the end. A voltage for shrinking the element 6 is applied to the element 6 of the group 8, and a voltage for elongating the elemet 12 for forming the group 14 is applied to the element 12.
