Thermal recorder
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recorder which is capable of printing with an even density at a high speed by correcting the lower to be applied to a heat generating element and the pulse width sensing the rise in the temperature of a switching element for driving the heat generating element to enable the correction of multivalue level with a better response. CONSTITUTION:In a driving IC equipped with a shift resister 3 for transferring and memorizing picture signals, a latch circuit 2 for latching the contents thereof and a switching element group 1 for driving heat generating elements based on information latched on a substrate 5, a thermosensitive element 4 is provided near the switching element group. The thermosensitive element 4 is integrally connected to the switching element 1 with the IC substrate 5 as heat path. As the IC substrate 5 rises in the temperature with a very quick response delayed in the time by the order of 10 millisecond with respect to the temperature rise of the switching element 1, the temperature rise thereof 5 is detected to control the feed of heat energy to be applied to the heat generating element.
