Optical recording medium
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion resistance in a recording part by obviating the formation of an optical recording layer in a part of the whole of the outside edge and/or inside edge of a base plate and forming a heat insulating layer, antireflection layer and protecive layer, etc. in the same way as for the above mentioned recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A heat insulating layer consisting of an org. resin, dye, pigment, etc., an antireflection layer consisting of ZrO2, SiO, etc. and an antireflection layer constituted of a ZnS film and MgF2 film or an Na3AlF6 film or constituted of an SiO2 film and TiO2 film or ZrO2 film can be provided between a base plate and a recording layer. A protective layer and adhesive layer of metals such as Ti, Cr, Zn, Al, Si, etc. and oxides such as TiO2, Al2O3, SiO2, Cr2O3, etc. are provided on the recording layer or in a way as to cover the recording layer. Said layers can be adhered to a base plate for protection. It is also possible to use a writing side base plate of whcih the surface is worked to a porous layer. The corrosion resistance of the recording medium is improved by obviating the formation of the optical recording layer in a part or the whole of the outside edge and/or inside edge of the base plate.
