Monoazo dye for synthetic fiber

Abstract

Abstract NEW MATERIAL:Monoazo compounds of formula I wherein R<1> is a 5-8C alkyl; R<2> is a 1-8C alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl; X is H, methyl, acetylamino, Cl; Y is H, methoxy. EXAMPLE:Compound of formula II. USE:Dyes which dye polyester fibers clear blue with excellent fastness to sublimation and light and after-processability. PREPARATION:The diazonium salt of 2-amino-3-cyano-5-nitrothiophene is coupled with an aniline of formula III (wherein R<1>, R<2>, X, Y are as defined above) to produce the compound of formula I .
