Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To eliminate crosstalk component from adjacent tracks in excellent way by changing a threshold level of a limiter circuit depending on an input signal. CONSTITUTION:A luminance signal Y applied to an input terminal 5 is applied to a level detecting circuit 12, where a level of the signal Y is detected. A detecting signal Sd is applied to a limiter circuit 9' of variable threshold type as a variable control signal of threshold level. Since the threshold level is set deeply or shallowly in the circuit 9 depending on the large or small level of the signal Y, the level of a difference signal Y-Yn is limited even if the level of the signal Y is high or low, and the deterioration in the vertical resolution is mitigated. Since the threshold level of the circuit 9' is set deeply when the level of the signal Y is high (the level of crosstalk component is high), the crosstalk component is eliminated in excellent way.
