Torque transmission
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To enable to maintain the relatively rotating speed between the input shaft and the output shaft of a torque transmission as desired by calculating the actual relatively rotating speed between a frictional clutch piston and a shell cover from the variation in the hydraulic pressure which is detected by a hydraulic sensor. CONSTITUTION:Whenever a frictional clutch piston 10 and a cover shell 12 relatively rotates so that grooves 44a, 44b and a groove 12a are superposed, an applying chamber and a releasing chamber communicate with one another, and the hydraulic oil of the releasing chamber varies in response to the relative rotation (i.e., the hydraulic pressure rises in a pulsing state), and this variation in the hydraulic pressure is converted to a hydraulic sensor into an electric signal. Accordingly, a pulse which responds to the relative rotation to the electric signal is generated. This electric signal is fed to a computer, which counts the number of pulses, thereby calculating the relative rotating speed.
