Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To simplify a color image sensor by arranging a plurality of photo sensors, where a transparent second electrode is formed on a first electrode through a photoelectric converting film, on a single first electrode and by providing a color filter to the surface of second electrode. CONSTITUTION:A basic photo sensitivity is determined by a sandwich structure consisting of a first electrode 12, a second electrode 6 of which upper part is transparent and a photoelectric converting film 5, and quantity of light can be detected by reading a change of charge in accordance with a quantity of light irradiated to this area. The photo sensors in such a number corresponding to color analysis, for example three photo sensors 14-1, 14-2, 14-3 are provided for one first electrode 12. At each photo sensor, the stransparent second electrodes 6, 7, 8 are arranged in accordance with the colors divided at a right angle to the arrangement of these sensors. In more practical, 6 is a driving lead for detecting cyane while 7 is a driving lead for detecting magenta and 8 is a driving lead for detecting yellow. The first electrode 12 is a signal lead corresponding to the divided bits.
