Vertical recording head
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To eliminate the restrictions in stroke, size and shape and to provide a vertical recording head that can be disposed at a high density by incorporating a thermal driving type to the main magnetic pole part of the vertical recording head. CONSTITUTION:The 1st insulation layer 32 is provided to a nonmagnetic material holder 31a of a metal, ceramics or the like, and many thin films 33 of magnetic materials which have relatively approximate curie points and high magnetic permeability such as armorphous materials and serve as main magnetic poles 2 are formed in a stripe shape thereon. The 2nd insulation layer 34 is added thereto, whereafter wiring patterns 36 of conductive films such as Cu, Au or the like are formed thereon. Nonmagnetic heating resistor films 36 of RuO2, Ta-N, Ta-Si, Ta-SiO2, etc. are formed on the forward end parts of the films 33, and the 3rd insulation film 37 is added. Another nonmagnetic holder 31b is adhered to one body by means of an adhesive 38 of glass or the like, whereby the surface 7 for contacting with magnetic recording media is formed and the main magnetic pole part 4a of the multichannel vertical recording head of a thermal driving type is completed.
