Seatbelt retractor

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To facilitate belt withdrawal and change of seating posture by prohibiting belt retraction for a certain duration of time after a belt withdrawal. CONSTITUTION:A belt wearing sensor device 50 in the buckle, a vehicle speed sensor device 51 and a displacement sensor device 23 to detect an amount of belt withdrawal using two photocouplers are connected to the CPU24 of a microcomputer. A motor 18 which retracts the belt is controlled by the CPU24 through a transistor bridge circuit 27, and is prohibited its operation for a certain duration of time after a belt withdrawal. By this constitution the belt withdrawal in order to fasten the belt can be done easily without a tension, and as there is not tension, the belt easily reels out at the time of a change of seating posture.
