Magneto-resistance effect type magnetic head

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the magnetic reluctance of a magnetic circuit and to increase th sensitivity by shorting a magneto-resistance effect element and a magnetic core magnetically. CONSTITUTION:A bias conductor 2, an insulating layer 5, a magneto-resistance effect film 3, an Ni-Zn ferrite layer 11 with high magnetic permeability, a core magnetic substance, and an insulating layer 7 are successively adhered to a ferrite substrate 1 and a protective plate 8 is joined with the insulating layer 7 through a bonding agent 9. Since the highly permeable material layer 11 hving a high electric resistance is formed between the core magnetic substance 4 and the magneto-resistance effect film 3 and both layers are magnetically short-circuited, the magnetic reluctance of the magnetic circuit is reduced and the high sensitivity is obtained.
