Wire rod position controller

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To execute smoothly relative position control of a wire rod, by providing a means for giving such a compensating signal as the polarity of acceleration and deceleration is not varied, when executing the rotating position control after a head for forming the wire rod in the shape of a coil and discharging it ends discharge of the wire rod. CONSTITUTION:The constitution o a block diagram of a wire rod position controller is different from a conventional one in respect of the case when the polarity of a compensating signal to a laying head is varied at the point of time when the stand-by control is switched to the regular control. In case when the polarity is changed to acceleration from deceleration, or it is changed to deceleration from acceleration, switches 16, 17 are closed, respectively, and compensating signal -1, +1 are added to a deviation output of a deviation calculating circuit 11 through an adder 13 from deviation compensating and setting devices 14, 15. In this regard, the switches 16, 17 are opened when laying head control rotating number n3 of the circuit 11 coincides with the compensating polarity immediately before the stand-by control is switched to the regular control. According to this constitution, even in case of a setting error DELTAL1 of a finish delivery equivalent distance setting value, the polarity of a laying head speed compensating signal in case when the stand-by control is switched to the regular control is not varied, and the relative position control is executed smoothly.
