Electrophotographic transparent film

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enhance traveling performance and to make it possible to use the entire area of a film effectively, when the film is used for an overhead projector, by forming a thin film layer of a specified metal on the surface of the side end part of the transparent film. CONSTITUTION:A 100-5nm thin metal film 2 made of Au, Al, Ni, or the like is formed by vapor deposition on the side end of a transparent film, such as polyester, 1 subjected to conductivity giving treatment so as to control light transmittance to >=70% when light of a light source is 500nm in wavelength and to <=40% when 950nm. Accordingly, when it is used for a copying machine using an optical detection system, the obtained electrophotographic transparent film is superior in traveling performance and when it is used for the overhead projector, the entire area of the film can be used.
