Balancer of hot gas engine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To realize a balancer, which is simple in construction and the space necessary for which is small, by a method wherein rocking members are added to a hot gas engine equipped with a counterweight in order to cancel the horizontal inertial force additionally developed by said counterweight. CONSTITUTION:A first rocking member 711 is fixed upward from a displacer piston arm 41 in such a manner that the center of a first balance weight 71 lies on the line S, which is parallel to the center line L of a cylinder and at the same time passes through the fulcrum shaft center P of a displacer piston side arm 4 when the crankpin 21 of a displacer piston side holds the position of a point M or N. A second rocking member 721 is fixed downward from a power piston arm 42 in a similar manner. Because the horizontal inertia forces Fay and Fby developed by the first and second balance weights 71 and 72 respectively are in the same direction when the horizontal inertia force Fcy of the counterweight 17 becomes maximum, the inertia force Fcy is effectively cancelled.
