Called subscriber confirming system of communication device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To have a call after confirming the station of a remote side, by transmitting the own station information, call channel information and remote side station information and then having a switch to the channel corresponding to the call channel information to set a reception mode. CONSTITUTION:When an idle call channel is searched at a calling station and stored in a memory 14, an automatic switch is carried out to a call channel to set a reception state. Then a carrier detector 7 discriminates whether the call is busy or not. If the call channel is busy, the calling subscriber waits until the busy state is over. Then a digital code including own station information (ATIS) is transmitted when no carrier exists. At a called station a code detector 6 detects the digital code and the received remote side station information is compared with the OWN ATIS code stored in an ROM15. If coincidence is obtained from the comparison, the ATIS code of the called station is transmitted to the calling station via the corresponding call channel. The calling station detects the ATIS code by the detector 6 and at the same time sets a call state in accordance with the coincidence with the remote side station information stored in an RAM14.
