Determination of hydrogen peroxide

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve precision of measurement, etc. by adding superoxide dismutase to a system of the measurement in a measurement of enzymatic activity of purine metabolic path using a measured value of hydrogen peroxide formed by the action of xanthine oxide. CONSTITUTION:A specimen is treated with a reagent containing catalase, uricase, superoxide dismutase, and xanthine oxidase at 6-8pH. It is reacted with sodium azide, uricase, superoxide dismutase, and xanthine oxidase. prepared hydrogen peroxide is brought into contact with a color coupler for hydrogen peroxide consisting of 3-methyl-2-benzothiazolinone-hydrazone hydrochloride, peroxidase, and N-ethyl-N-(2-hydroxy-3-sulfopropyl)-m-anisidine at 5-6.5pH, colored, and determined by measuring its absorbance.
