Neutral control unit of automatic transmission for vehicle

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable an automatic transmission to be set to the neutral condition when a brake is positively applied, by discriminating signals of a vehicle sensor, an accelerator full-opening sensor and a brake oil pressure sensor from each other. CONSTITUTION:When vehicle speed is less than a set value, an accelerator pedalling amount is zero and brake oil pressure exceeds a set one, a speed switch 204, an accelerator switch 206 and a brake oil pressure switch 209 are closed respectively. Thus, the outputs of AND circuit 203 and NOR circuit 208 reach hig level to make a transistor 202 conductive and supply current to a solenoid 130a. When the solenoid 130a is excited, a neutral valve shuts off the line so that oil pressure is not supplied to a brake and a clutch of an automatic transmission respectively to set said transmission to the neutral condition.
