Line printer
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To make it possible to slide a slide member in low noise and low energy, by supporting both ends of the slide member having the printing head of a line printer mounted thereon by a reset spring while connecting one end of a shape memory alloy to said slide member. CONSTITUTION:Both ends of slide members 1, 2 each having a plurality of printing heads 9 arranged thereto in a line form so as to be capable of simultaneously printing one line are attached to leaf shaped reset springs 5, 6 attached to side plates 3, 4 to be parallelly surpported thereby and connected in the bottom surface sides thereof so as to be mutually slidable to left and right directions by connecting bars 7, 8. One ends of shape memory alloys 19, 20 each formed into a coil spring shape are fixed to connecting plates 11, 14 secured to the slide members 1, 2. Pulse currents are flowed to these coil spring shaped shape memory alloys 19, 20 which are, in turn, deformed by self-recovering forces of shapes due to self-heat generations thereof and the slide members 1, 2 are slid to drive a plurality of the printing heads 9 mounted on said slide members 1, 2 to perform the printing of paper 10.
