Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve output efficiency by substantially reducing to zero the volume of a central cell formed between engaging points of spiral bodies at the stationary and turning sides in the relative turning of both spiral bodies. CONSTITUTION:When the stationary side spiral body 501 and the turning side one 502 revolve relatively, the volume of a small cell 553 formed between engaging points 552, 552' is reduced and finally the points 552, 552' coincide with each other to reduce the volume of said cell 553 to zero. Thus, since top clearance volume becomes zero, compressed fluid is wholly discharged from a discharge port to the outside so that work given the fluid by a compressor is wholly given to the fluid.
