Overspeed preventive device of internal-combustion engine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the overspeed of an engine, by setting a prescribed limit frequency to be interlocked to the switching operation of a shift device and stopping a charge-discharge function in the primary circuit of an ignition device by an ignition timing signal of frequency above the prescribed limit frequency. CONSTITUTION:If speed of an engine exceeds about 6,000rpm, Zener diode 32 and a transistor 37 are electrified, and a signal current is short-circuited, causing misfiring of the engine. If the speed of the engine exceeds about 3,500rpm with a shift device at its neutral position, a neutral position Zener diode 34 and the transistor 37 are electrified, and the signal current is short-circuited, preventing an overspeed of the engine. If the speed of the engine exceeds about 4,000rpm under a reversely rotating condition, a Zener diode 36 for reverse rotation is electrified also with electrification of the transistor 37, and the signal current is short-circuited, preventing an overspeed of about 4,000rpm or more. In this way, the throttle valve of a carburetor can be operated at an optimum opening for each operational condition of the engine, never causing deterioration or the like of a start characteristic resulting from overspeed prevention of the engine.
