Method of controlling air-fuel ratio in engine having electronically controlled fuel injection device
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To allow altitude compensation of air-fuel ratio during running of a vehicle at highland, by averaging deviation between fuel injection quantity and basic injection quantity in entire suction air flow region, and setting a value proportional to the average value to an altitude compensation learning value. CONSTITUTION:Altitude compensation learning value THAC is computed in steps 401- 404. Leaning value TLC in entire suction air flow region is read from RAM in step 401, and its average value is calculated in steps 402. Then, the average value is doubled in step 403 to give the altitude compensation learning value THAC, which is turn stored in RAM at step 404. The altitude compensation learning value THAC is compared with reference value, and accordingly highland is determined to correct increase in output. Thus, an altitude sensor is not required.
