Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve comfort in riding, by so constituting that unevenness of a road surface is detected by providing a contacting type sensor having a wheel in front of a front wheel so as to vary air suspension characteristics. CONSTITUTION:An uneven state signal of a road surface of a contacting type unevenness detecting sensor 34 of the road surface provided in front of a front wheel 1 along with detected signals of an acceleration sensor 22, a brake sensor 23, a steering angle sensor 24, a vehicle speed sensor 25, an acceleration sensor 27 on a front floor, an underspring acceleration sensor 28, a displacement sensor 29 of an air spring 2, an acceleration sensor 30 on a rear floor, a displacement sensor 31 of an air spring 14 and a lateral acceleration sensor 32 are applied to a microcomputer 33 according to an uneven state of the road surface. With this constitution, it becomes that unevenness of the road surface is detected by the sensor 34 in advance. Solenoid valves 9 and 19, therefore, are operated before the wheel 1 steps on unevenness, air suspension characteristics are varied, transmission of an uneven vibration to a vehicle body is reduced and comfort in riding can be improved by the microcomputer.
