Jamming signal generator for catv system

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain simply a required jamming signal, by providing a comb signal generating circuit and a programmable notch filter to each subscriber. CONSTITUTION:A CATV system 1 has a controller 4 generating a signal giving the permission of receiving of a reserved program only to a subscriber from a signal transmitted from a broadcast center 3 on a trunk cable 2, and a jamming signal generator 5 disturbing the receiving with a jamming signal as to a channel not permitted for the receiving with the receiving permission signal from the controller 4. The jamming signal generator 5 consists of a reference signal oscillating circuit 17, the comb signal generating circuit 18, a high pass filter 19 and the programmable notch filter circuit 20.
