External slide type sliding roof device for automobile
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To make the degree of wind resistance smaller as well as to reduce the effect of a windy noise, etc., by making the rear part of a sliding roof approach to a rear roof in time of being fully opened. CONSTITUTION:With the backward movement of a sliding roof 2, each of rear slide stays 41 and 41 is also moved backward but as a sub-guide rail 31 is so made up in a curved form being slightly convexed obliquely upward in a direction toward the front, each of these stays 41 and 41 is gradually tilting in proportion to its movement in a backward direction, and the stay 41 turns down in a state of being fully opened whereby an arm part 42 comes into a state of almost nearly horizontality, and height of the supporting point of the sliding roof 2 of a front slide stay 12 is relatively raised higher than the supporting height of the stay 41, causing a sliding roof rear part 5 to come close to a rear roof 6, thus an angle made between the sliding roof 2 and the rear roof 6 is rendered smaller.
