Controllable equipment for spring characteristic of air suspension for automobile

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To promote the stability of driving on a bad road and the comfortableness of driving on an ordinary road, by controlling the opening and closing of solenoid valves depending on the signals of vehicle height sensors at air suspension units to change their spring constants. CONSTITUTION:Air supply/discharge solenoid valves L3, L4, L5, L6 and an air discharge one L2 are provided in air supply passages for the air chambers of right or left and front or rear air suspension units A, B, C, D. The signals of vehicle height sensors 19 installed at the air suspension units are entered into a controller 5 to control the opening and closing of the valves L1-L6 so that the vehicle height at each air suspension unit is always kent in a prescribed value.
