Automatic adjusting device for gap of impact type printer

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the titled device enabling the precise adjustment of a gap by adjusting the gap between first and second printing mechanism, such as a hammer bank mask and a gate, or a printing head and a platen, while feeding recording paper successively. CONSTITUTION:A pressure detection signal from a pressure sensor 15 which is provided on the surface of a hammer bank mask facing a gate 3 is supplied to a comparison circuit 21 and compared there with a reference signal for a reference pressure set in a reference setting circuit 22. A comparison output signal from the comparison circuit 21 is sent to a gap-adjusting circuit 16, from which a signal for controlling the shift of the gate is delivered to a motor 13.
