Magnetic head supporting device with stability

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To keep a constant space between a magnetic disk and a magnetic head with high stability, by constituting a magnetic head supporting device with a bottom part having a head support hole and an outer circumference wall and denting the center part of a medium counter face in a step form. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head supporting device A consists of a bottom part having a head support hole 8 at its center part and an outer circumference part 10. A medium counter face is dented in a step form at its center part. When a magnetic disk is revolved at a high speed by the device A, the pressing force F and sucking force (f) are generated by the air pressure. Then good balance is kept for a medium owing to the harmony between the positive pressure and the negative pressure. At the same time, a head 5 is kept in a stable floating state. Thus a stable and constant space is secured between a disk and the head 5.
