Metallic mold for injection molding of fairing
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To unnecessitate after-working, by a method wherein boundary lines at the time of clamping a core against a fixed mold, a movable mold or other core are located at positions deviated from a round part of an accent line, in molding a fairing for a motorcycle or the like. CONSTITUTION:The boundary lines 33, 34 between slide cores 22, 23 and a block 30 for molding the accent line 31a of the fairing are located at positions deviated from the round part 35 of the line 31a. The boundary line 37 between the slide core 23 and the fixed core 13 for molding the accent line 31b is located at a straight line part 39 connecting round parts 38, 38, and the boundary line 40 between the slide core 22 and the fixed mold 13 for molding the accent line 31c is located at a straight line part 42 between round parts 41, 41. When the fairing 4 is injection molded from an ABS resin under these conditions, generation of flashes, surface sags or the like at the accent lines is obviated, after-working is unnecessitated, and clear accent lines can be molded.
