Subscriber calling system
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To discriminate a calling subscriber from the type of the ringing tone during the call incoming, by providing a means to enable a called subscriber to designate a ringing tone correspoinding to the telephone number of a calling subscriber. CONSTITUTION:When a subscriber B calls a subscriber A, a switchboard detects the call of the subscriber B through a subscriber circuit 1 and analyzes the selected figures sent from the subscriber B to decide a connection request to the subscriber A. Based on this decision, the type of the ringing tone is collated between subscribers A and B stored in a storage device 7. Then the ringing tone of the A is designated. A channel controller 5 transmits a relay switch signal to give the control of ringing tone to an LC 1 and then sends the continuous tones to the A by a ringer 8. Thus it is possible for the A to understand the incoming of a call from the B from the type of the ringing tone. While a normal ring-back tone is transmitted to the B from a tone 9 via a time division switch 4, a CODEC 3, a line switch 2 and a subscriber circuit 1 and regardless of the ringing tone of the ringer 8 to the A.
