Automatic focus control system
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To perform transition to a focus detectable area by providing a discriminating means which discriminates the position of a lens system stopped in such a state that focus detection is impossible and controls the lens system to a focusing position. CONSTITUTION:When the lens is in a focus undetectable area on a close-distance focusing side, the output A of a comparing circuit 15 goes up to a high level, the output of an OR gate 18 also goes up, and a switch SW1 turns on to move the lens to a long-distance focusing side. When the lens is in a focus undetectable area on the long-distance focusing side, the output A of the comparing circuit 15 goes up to the high level, the output of the OR gate 18 also goes up, and a switch SW2 turns on to move the lens to the short-distance focusing side. Thus, the lens is moved to the focus detectable area in either case.
