Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve measuring accuracy and durability by a gauge wherein a spindle carrying a movable measuring probe is retractably supported between a pair of left and right fixed tracks, mounted on a base, through a crossed roller type linear bearing unit body. CONSTITUTION:A fixed measuring probe 2 is mounted on a base 1, and a movable measuring probe 3 arranged facing the fixed measuring probe 2 is fitted to the distal end of a spindle 4 and then secured using a set-screw 5. The spindle 4 is retractably supported between a pair of left and right fixed tracks 6, 7, which are mounted on the base 1, through a crossed roller type linear bearing unit body 8. An object to be measured is held between the fixed measuring probe 2 and the movable measuring probe 3, thereby to measure the dimension of the object.
