Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make data transfer possible without increasing the number of signal terminal, by constituting an accessory so that the accessory is set to a data readable state by the transfer start signal of a camera body and is set to a transferrable state by feeding start and using in common the feeding start signal and the transfer start signal. CONSTITUTION:A fixed storage means of a lens is incorporated in a data output part 7 on a lens LE side. A clock pulse CPL of an interface circuit IF is used as the synchronizing signal to transmit and receive an address signal and a data signal between the circuit IF and the output part 7 through a signal line SB and terminals JB3 and JL3. When the lens is set, an output terminal O2 of a microcomputer 1 is set to ''H'', and a transistor BT2 is made conductive to start feeding to the lens side, and the reading operation of data from the lens in the circuit IF is started. The circuit on the lens side is reset by the feeding start accompanied with the setting of the terminal O2 to ''H'', and the start of the operation where data of the lens LE is transmitted to the body side is permitted. Thus, one terminal is used in common for the feeding terminal to the lens side and for transmitting the reading operation start signal of the lens-side data.
