Toner fixation device
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To eliminate light leakage when a heat source lamp is used and to prevent a deterioration in copy picture quality, by composing a heat roll principally of a resistor which increases in resistance value abruptly when the temperature rises up to specific temperature. CONSTITUTION:A fixation part 29 consists of the heat roll 27 and a pressure roll 28 and the heat roll 27 is constituted by forming electrodes 33 and 34 of silver, etc., over the internal and external surfaces of a hollow resistor drum 32 made of the resistor such as barium titanate, etc., by coating; and power source is supplied all the time between the electrodes 33 and 34 through slip rings 35 and 36 and brushes 37 and 38. The surface temperature of the heat roll 27 is set to the Curie point high enough for toner fusion during the operation of a copying machine and the surface is held at the Curie temperature by its resistance value variation operation.
