Manufacturing method of perovskite oxide powder
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To manufacture the titled oxide powder easy to sinter by adding ethanol to an aqueous soln. contg. ions of Ti and a specified metal, further adding a soln. of oxalic acid in ethanol, drying the resulting precipitate, and thermally decomposing it. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous ammonia soln. is added to TiCl4 to precipitate titanium hydroxide, and the titanium hydroxide is dissolved in nitric acid. The resulting titanium oxynitrate soln. is mixed with an aqueous soln. contg. metallic ions of Pb, Ba, Sr or Ca (expressed as A hereunder) so that Ti and A are incorporated in equimolecular amounts, and ethanol is added to the mixed soln. in 1:1 volume ratio. A soln. of oxalic acid in ethanol is further added little by little at room temp. to form a precipitate. The precipitate is separated by filtration, dried, pulverized, calcined at 700-1,000 deg.C, and pulverized again. The formed powder is mixed, molded, and sintered to obtain ATiO3.
