Antenna glass for rear window of motorcar

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the nondirectivity and reception sensitivity of an antenna for a rear window by making the lower side part of a glass plate wider under a power-on heater for defogging than over the heater, and closing the lower side part of the glass electromagnetically. CONSTITUTION:The glass plate 11 provided with the power-on heater for defogging is provided with an electric conductor 31 at the space part of the glass lower side part 30 under the heater so that the ratio of the longitudinal size and lateral size of the glass plate for the rear window of a normal sedan or hardtop type motorcar is about 0.4-0.7 at a glass part over the lower side part 30. Then, the lower side part of the glass plate is closed electromagnetically by the electric conductor 31 and the lower side part 30 is placed in the same state with of the motorcar body during AM and FM reception.
