Antenna device for underground search radar
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the precision of the discrimination of the horizontal position of an underground buried body, by using both outside terminals of a couple of antenna arms which constitute a dipole antenna as feeding or receiving points. CONSTITUTION:Both outside ends of the couple of antenna arms 1'A and 1'B constituting the dipole antenna 1' for transmission (reception) are used as feeding (receiving) points. Electric pulses are applied to both outside ends of the couple of antenna arms 1'A and 1'B from a radar main body through coaxial cables 5 and 6 to radiate a radio wave from the dipole antenna 1'. A reflected wave from an underground body is received by the dipole antenna 1' and inputted to the radar body through the coaxial cables 5 and 6. In this case, the antenna arms 1'A and 1'B are curved to the ground surface and both inside ends are hinged together preferably to vary the angle of interstion.
