Optical information recording medium

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the S-N ratio owing to a stable adhered state and reduction of surface defects by interposing a layer contg. silicate, polyorganosiloxane or silyl ether between the substrate and the recording layer. CONSTITUTION:An undercoat layer 2 is interposed between a substrate 1 and an information recording layer 3 contg. dispersed metallic fine particles. It is preferable that the layer 2 has an affinity for the substrate 1 and an org. substance layer forming the layer 3, and the layer 2 contains >=1 kind of compound selected from a group of silicate, polyorganosiloxane and silyl ether. A layer 5 contg. physical developing nuclei especially suitable for physical development and a layer contg. a reducible metallic salt dispersed in a dispersion medium of an org. substance such as a silver halide emulsion layer 4 may be formed on the layer 3.
