Crystal oscillator
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To attain a crystal oscillator with high accuracy, by detecting an ambient temperature, converting it into a DC signal, using a microprocessor, obtaining a DC signal compensating the temperature characteristics of a crystal oscillation section and controlling the oscillating section. CONSTITUTION:A temperature detecting section 1 detects the ambient temperature of the crystal oscillator and outputs it as a DC signal V1. An A-D converting section 2 converts the signal V1 into a digital signal possible for decoding at the microprocessor section 3. The processor section 3 outputs a temperature characteristic compensation amount to the ambient temperature as a digital quantity according to the temperature characteristics of the crystal oscillation section 5 stored in advance. A D-A converting section 4 converts the digital signal outputted from the processor section 3 into a DC signal V2 possible for controlling the oscillating section 5. The oscillating frequency (f) of the oscillating section 5 is controlled with the voltage V2 and even if the ambient temperature changes, the oscillating frequency (f) being a constant value at all times is outputted.
