Fixed magnetic disk device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the suction of dust and to retard the follow-up properties of humidity to the open air, by providing a plate having a hole smaller than a vent hole at the inside of a filter to prevent absorption of moisture. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic disk 1 for recording of information is recorded and reproduced by a magnetic head 2. The head 2 is positioned by an actuator 3. These disk 1, head 2 and actuator 3 are put on a base 4 and shielded from the open air with a cover 5. The dust mixed when the air pressure difference is reduced within a hermetic structure is prevented by a filter 6 containing a protecting cover 7. A plate 8 is provided inside the filter 6 to prevent absorption of moiture, and the plate 8 has a minute hole 8a smaller than an air vent 7a. The dust is removed through the filter 6 for the air passed through the vent 7a when it is supplied and discharged with a change of the inside pressure. Thus the mixture of dust is prevented to be flowed in and adhered to the disk.
